And we’re here! The final puts two X-Women against each other! We all know that the X-Men franchise is one of the most popular from Marvel, but I’d hoped we’d see more variety in the final stages. But anyway! It was good to see Jubilee, a POC character, make it into the semi-finals, and now we have the mighty Ororo in the final. Let’s get to voting! You have time to vote until Sunday 2AM GMT!
We can finally move on to the semi-finals. Three out of four competitors that made it this far are X-Women (though we could say that Wanda has strong ties with the X-Family), so this will probably be the toughest match-ups. Remember, don’t stuff ballots! Good luck to both competitors.

In the other corner, one of the youngest members of the X-Men, a clone that was trained to kill but that’s fighting every day to find her place in the MU, Laura Kinney aka X-23!
The beginning of this third round and a big surprise. Rogue will always be a tough contender, no doubt about it. Nevertheless, Carol lost by very few votes, so it was tough for both competitors. But I really wasn’t expecting Jubilee’s win and not because I don’t appreciate this wonderful character, but because Emma had been the one with the highest number of nominations. I was pretty sure she’d be in the semi-finals. Many congratulations to Jubes and good luck to her for the rest of the competition!

It may be just me, but there are no easy matches anymore ;_;
In one corner we have legendary X-Man, Rogue! Fearless leader of her own squad, for a long time Anna had to cope with the fact that she couldn’t control her powers. Still, she continued to fight alongside her teammates. Nowadays she’s gained control over her mutant powers and has become a role model for the new generations of mutants.
In the other corner, former member of the Runaways, Gertrude Yorkes! Gert was a snarky, intelligent and very capable teen that had a psychic bond with her pet Deinonychus, Old Lace. She sacrificed herself to save Chase, but is still remembered by her many fans.

Rogue, of course, won by a wide margin. Mary Jane won without problems too, but Aurora received a nice amount of votes, which makes me happy seeing just how little we see of her in comics nowadays.
