Apologies for the lateness, everyone! It’s been a busy day. Anyway, here we go with the second match-up from the Elite 8. Good luck to both of them!
In one corner, the mutant who can control the weather, one of the most powerful and respected members of the X-Men, Ororo Munroe!

In the other corner, Russian super spy and once a ballet dancer, Natasha Romanova, the Black Widow!

You have time to vote until Sunday 3AM GMT!
I’m reposting these matches. For the first time since the tourney, we got a case of ballot stuffing. So let’s start again, people! Don’t stuff the ballots, I’m monitoring the polls closely, so play fair. You have time to vote until Tuesday 2AM GMT. (There’s still a couple of minutes for you to vote on the previous matches, if you haven’t yet!)

In one corner we have the legendary Russian super spy, Black Widow! Natasha first arrived on the US as a spy working for an agency of Russia, but she would later side with the Avengers and assisted them on a number of times. You can currently catch her on her own series (make sure to read Liu’s run)!

In the other corner we have the former queen of the Amazons, Delphyne! A descendant of the women that were cursed by Athena, the gorgons, Delphyne was part of the Amazons until she defeated Princess Artume and rightfully became their new queen. She’s currently kicking ass alongside Amadeus Cho in Chaos War!

There’s time to vote until Tuesday 2AM GMT!
I’m posting this super early, but I’ve been testing the queue and the result was that I can’t trust it, so I’d rather not take the risk. There’s still three more hours to vote in match-up #25 and match-up #26 if you haven’t yet.
Match-up #27: She-Hulk versus Abigail Brand
The cousin of Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters is a hard-working and very good lawyer. After being shot by some mobsters, Bruce saved her life by giving her a blood transfusion of his own blood. Possessing some of his cousin’s irradiated blood, Jennifer became able to transform into She-Hulk. She’s been a member of the Avengers and will now return to her own book alongside Lyra!

Little is known about Abigail’s personal story other than the fact that she’s the daughter of a human and an alien being. She’s a commanding officer of S.H.I.E.L.D. and leader of S.W.O.R.D., an agency that deals with extraterrestrial stuff. Abigail was first seen in Astonishing X-Men and was the protagonist of the very short-lived S.W.O.R.D. series (which, btw, I recommend reading :D).

Match-up #28: Black Widow vs Photon
One of the greatest spies, Natasha was raised by the Black Widow Ops, a program that trained young girls for espionage missions. There, Natasha was subjected to biological and psychological enhancements, which explains why she lived through WWII and still appears quite youthful. Brainwashed over and over again by the K.G.B., Natasha was finally able to set free and became an ally of the Avengers. She currently stars on her own series.

Monica was a lieutenant in the New Orleans harbor patrol until she was hit by extra-dimensional energy produce by an energy-disruptor. She gained the power of controlling and producing any form of energy from the electromagnetic spectrum. Known as Captain Marvel in the beginning, she received training from the Avengers and became one of their best members, at times being their leader. She finally changed her name to Photon out of respect for the son of the original Captain Marvel. Monica is also the leader of the superhero team Nextwave.
