For this year’s Black History Month, David Brothers (writer at both Comics Alliance and 4th Letter) is writing an article highlighting some of Marvel’s black characters, linking their first appearances to significant moments in history. In this first part, David talks a bit about Glory Grant, Misty Knight and Storm. The second part of this article will be up on Friday. Jennifer Smith from Fantastic Fangirls wrote an interesting article about the status of some of the oldest female characters from Marvel. (As usual) There certainly seems to be a disparity in the way Marvel treats their male and female characters.
