And we finally reach the last two matches from the first round! Thanks everyone for voting and for your support. Today we have four very popular competitors. There was no easy way to do this, so I hope you’re not too torn on who to vote for.
Match-up #31: Gertrude Yorkes versus Colleen Wing
The daughter of two time-travellers, members of the Pride, Gert Yorkes was a founding member of the Runaways. Intelligent and witty, Gert shared a psychic bond with her pet deinonychus, Old Lace. She passed this bond to Chase when she met her tragic destiny.

The other half of Knightwing Restorations and Daughters of the Dragon, Colleen Wing was raised by her Japanese grandfather, who taught her the ways of the samurai. Back in the US, she befriended Danny Rand and helped him in a number of occasions. She would later be saved by her lover, Misty Knight, with whom she’d become very good friends.

Match-up #32: Kitty Pryde vs Rikki “Nomad” Barnes
Kitty is a mutant with the ability to phase through solid materials, as well as render others intangible. Once the youngest member of the X-Men, Kitty has also been an instructor in the Academy and her personality always made her a favorite among her peers. Kitty just recently returned after being trapped in a giant bullet, but remains intangible as a consequence of staying phased for such a long time.

Rikki Barnes is the counterpart to Bucky that was born on the Heroes Reborn Earth, a pocket dimension created by Franklin Richards. There, she became Captain America’s sidekick. She would later travel to Earth-616, where she now lives and struggles to find a place in a world that’s not her home.

You’ll have time to vote until Tuesday 1AM GMT! After this, only two more matches ‘til we being a new round :D
I’m posting this super early, but I’ve been testing the queue and the result was that I can’t trust it, so I’d rather not take the risk. There’s still three more hours to vote in match-up #25 and match-up #26 if you haven’t yet.
Match-up #27: She-Hulk versus Abigail Brand
The cousin of Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters is a hard-working and very good lawyer. After being shot by some mobsters, Bruce saved her life by giving her a blood transfusion of his own blood. Possessing some of his cousin’s irradiated blood, Jennifer became able to transform into She-Hulk. She’s been a member of the Avengers and will now return to her own book alongside Lyra!

Little is known about Abigail’s personal story other than the fact that she’s the daughter of a human and an alien being. She’s a commanding officer of S.H.I.E.L.D. and leader of S.W.O.R.D., an agency that deals with extraterrestrial stuff. Abigail was first seen in Astonishing X-Men and was the protagonist of the very short-lived S.W.O.R.D. series (which, btw, I recommend reading :D).

Match-up #28: Black Widow vs Photon
One of the greatest spies, Natasha was raised by the Black Widow Ops, a program that trained young girls for espionage missions. There, Natasha was subjected to biological and psychological enhancements, which explains why she lived through WWII and still appears quite youthful. Brainwashed over and over again by the K.G.B., Natasha was finally able to set free and became an ally of the Avengers. She currently stars on her own series.

Monica was a lieutenant in the New Orleans harbor patrol until she was hit by extra-dimensional energy produce by an energy-disruptor. She gained the power of controlling and producing any form of energy from the electromagnetic spectrum. Known as Captain Marvel in the beginning, she received training from the Avengers and became one of their best members, at times being their leader. She finally changed her name to Photon out of respect for the son of the original Captain Marvel. Monica is also the leader of the superhero team Nextwave.

Just a few matches more ahead of us and then we can start with round two!
Match-up #25: Blink versus Mantis
Clarice Ferguson was fighting along the X-Men in the Age of Apocalypse until she was pulled from that reality by the time-broker. From then on, Clarice would become the leader of the Exiles, a team of people that jump across multiple parallel realities in order to save the Multiverse.

Mantis was born on Earth, but her parents gave her up to the alien Priests of Pama, a sector of the Kree that believed her to be the Celestial Madonna, a legendary being that would give birth to the Celestial Messiah. The Priests trained Mantis in a variety of martial arts and later erased her memories to send her back to Earth so that she could earn life experience. Nowadays, she’s part of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Match-up #26: Faiza Hussain versus Sif
Faiza Hussain, a British muslim doctor, was attending wounded people during the Skrull invasion when she was hit by a Skrull laser beam. This incident provided her with power over organic matter. After assisting the Black Knight in battle, Faiza was invited to become a core member of MI: 13, alongside the heroes she always admired. Once the Skrull invasion was over, Faiza was able to pull the sword Excalibur from the stone it was buried, thus becoming its rightful owner.

A shield maiden of Asgard, Sif spent most of her childhood with Thor and Balder, and grew up to be one of the best warriors. During adolescence, Sif started developing romantic feelings towards Thor. We saw Sif’s latest adventure on her Women of Marvel one-shot, but we have yet to see her as a regular character on Thor.
